Diseases caused by Obesity

In the earlier days, the children would probably spend their holidays
outdoors and the mother had to pull them back to the home to complete
their school work or even to have their food. Recent survey indicates
that four among the six kids sit in front of the TV, for more than 5 hours
each day. All their activities are related to the television programs
and nothing individualistic. These sedentary children are prone to obesity
problems in their early days of life. Here is the list of some diseases
that is caused due to obesity.
• Asthma usually affects the passages of breathing of the lungs. Generally,
due to the long-term inflammation of this passage, asthma is caused. Then
the passages are blocked and the person affected by asthma is more sensitive
to all the foreign bodies.
• High blood pressure is the pressure caused in the blood than flows within
the arteries. This leads to hypertension, heart diseases, and vista to
many other serious diseases.
• Type 2 diabetes is one among the common chronic disease. This type diabetes
is measured by the sugar level and content in the blood and urine. If
the body does not properly respond to the insulin hormone (which is secreted
by the pancreas), the existence of the type 2 diabetes is confirmed. It
is also a hereditary disease.
• Usually, cholesterol is used, in a small amount, to digest the fatty
substance. When the quantity of this cholesterol gets increased, the extra
or the excess of it gets settled in the arteries and block the way of
the blood flow.
• The inability or the failure of the heart in the pumping system of blood
to the other parts of the body, like the brain, liver and kidneys, is
mentioned as the failure of a heart. When the ventricles do not work properly,
generally, heart fails to meet its purpose of pumping.
• Although fatty liver may not cause severe damage, the extra fat makes
inflammation in the liver. And this relatively leads to liver damage.
• When there is a regular reduction or total halt in the process of breathing
during sleep is called sleep apnea. it contributes to congestive heart
failure, high blood pressure, pulmonary hypertension, strokes, heart diseases
and at times death.
• Acne, rashes, fungal or other infectious skin diseases are caused due
to the obesity problem among the kids.
• Few cancers are caused due to the obese nature of the kids. Cancer as
such is not a single disease. It is a culmination of approximately 100
unique diseases.
• The malfunction of brain because of some disturbance in the supply of
blood to the brain is called stroke.
• Osteoarthritis is the structural or functional failure of the joints.
There is alos a great loss of cartilage.
• Gout caused by obesity causes arthritis, kidney stones and uric acid
deposits in the skins.
